Where to Route Jail, Court, and Custody Questions

For a current Decatur County Jail booking, start with the sheriff's jail contact or the sheriff-linked booking search. For older records, court filings, state custody, or federal and immigration custody, use the matching agency.

  • Someone currently in the county jail: use jail inmate records and call the jail at 229-248-3050 for time-sensitive custody or bond questions.
  • Booking photos and roster image limits: review jail roster mugshots, then use the sheriff open-records email if the official roster does not answer the request.
  • Charges, court filings, and case status after arrest: use court records after a jail arrest and contact the Clerk of Court at 112 West Water Street, Bainbridge, GA 39817, phone 229-248-3025, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Magistrate Court matters, including warrants, minor criminal matters, and bond-hearing questions: call 229-248-3014. The Magistrate Court hours noted in the research are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
